Chip-Scale Atomic Frequency References
We describe recent efforts at NIST to develop chip-scale atomic frequency references based on microfabrication techniques commonly used in microelectromechanical systems (MEMS). These frequency references are projected to have a volume of 1 cm, a power dissipation of 30 mW and a fractional frequency instability of 10 at one hour of integration. To date, we have demonstrated the three critical s...
متن کاملAtomic Data and Nuclear Data Tables
An extensive set of oscillator strengths, line strengths, and radiative decay rates for the allowed and forbidden transitions in Fe XIX is presented. They correspond to 1626 fine structure levels of total angular momenta 0 ≤ J ≤ 8 of even and odd parities with 2 ≤ n ≤ 10, 0 ≤ l ≤ 9, 0 ≤ L ≤ 10, and (2S + 1) = 1, 3, 5. In contrast, the compiled table of the National Institute for Standards and T...
متن کاملthe evaluation of language related engagment and task related engagment with the purpose of investigating the effect of metatalk and task typology
abstract while task-based instruction is considered as the most effective way to learn a language in the related literature, it is oversimplified on various grounds. different variables may affect how students are engaged with not only the language but also with the task itself. the present study was conducted to investigate language and task related engagement on the basis of the task typolog...

We propose a sub-millimeter-scale vapor-cell atomic-frequency reference based on a micromachined vapor cell, all-optical excitation, and advanced diode-laser technology. We analyze theoretically the performance of such a device as a function of cell size. Initial measurements on small-scale vapor cells support the theoretical treatment. © 2002 American Institute of Physics. @DOI: 10.1063/1.1494...
